New DSLR

I'm in the market for a new camera. I told my daughter I would give her my old DSLR (Canon Rebel) when I got a new one. She has a good eye so I really want her to have it sooner rather than later.

I have canon lenses, so I'll go with that brand. Any suggestions for a step up from a rebel will be appreciated.
